Legal notice

These legal notices illustrate, in accordance with the Guidelines for the Web sites of 2011 by the Ministro della Pubblica Amministrazione e della semplificazione, the general characteristics of the Web site with domain name www.mut.unito.it (hereinafter "the Site”), its content the procedures for their proper use, its responsibilities, the rules for the use of downloadable material.

The access to the Site implies the acceptance of the following terms and conditions of use. Please read them carefully. These terms and conditions of use may be changed. Please review them regularly. If you continue to use the Site after a change has been made to the terms and conditions of use you are deemed to have accepted it.

1. Copyright and use of the logo

All rights reserved. All information on the Site is copyrighted and its content may not be republished or redistributed except by written permission. All contents must be used as they are, by citing the source. Editing or modification of the materials, including extraction of text or images, is forbidden.
The reproduction of the MUT logo without specific written permission is forbidden. The reproduction of the MUT logo on other Web sites is subject to written approval by the MUT Curator.

2. Use of the website

The use of the Site is exclusively allowed for purpose directly related to the activities of the MUT. You can freely use the Site to search, access and download the materials for personal use only and not for commercial use. It is not allowed to use the Site:
- in such a way so as to remove the copyright or trade mark notices from any material made in accordance with these terms;
- in any way that might bring MUT into disrepute;
- for the posting, by means of any kind of tools, of any material that contains software viruses or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, restrict, destroy, limit the functionality of or compromise the integrity of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment;
- to create a database (electronic or not) that includes material downloaded or otherwise obtained from the Site, without written permission from the MUT;
- to transmit or re-circulate any material obtained from the Site to any third party, without written permission from the MUT.

All personal data contained in the Site (such as email address, phone number, fax number) can be used by users of the Site only for purposes related to the activities of the MUT. It is forbidden the use of published data for marketing and commercial purposes without the prior consent of the person concerned, and spamming activities. Any violations will be reported to the competent authorities.

3. Access to the Site and removal of material

The MUT shall have the right to refuse to allow you access to the Site or any part of it at any time and for any reason without given you any advance notice.
The MUT shall have the right at any time and for any reason to remove from the Site any material posted, uploaded, or conferred by third parties, without giving you any advance notice.

4. Code of conduct for the use of passwords

Site users are aware that the authentication credentials for accessing services must be reserved and preserved with the utmost care and diligence and must never be shared or allocated among multiple users even at different times.
We recommend you to change your password periodically. Passwords should not contain references that could lead to the person. Transactions through the use of passwords fall directly under the responsibility of the subject. In addition, the sole user assumes the responsibility for all his activities in the services and raises the MUT and the University of Turin from any responsibility and will not make any claim, demand or threat related to or arising from the use or abuse of his application to the services.
The user is obliged to immediately notify the MUT any unauthorized use of the user ID (username) and password or another breach of security of which the user become aware.
The MUT does not require e-mail verification of your passwords.
Users performing data entry are directly responsible for the operations carried out by means of their password, and are bound to secrecy in order to work processes, they can not disclose or make public any information relating to the MUT administration and its production methods, or make use of them in order to cause it harm or prejudice, nor can extract a copy of the database or copy any part thereof, without the specific written permission of the MUT Curator.

5. Personal data and privacy

This privacy policy is provided solely for the Site and not for other external website that can be reached by links, pursuant to art. 13 of Italian Legistative Decree N. 196/2003 - Code regarding the procection of personal data. This statement is prompted by the Recommendation N. 2/2001 that the European authorities for the protection of personal data, gathered by the Group established by the art. 29 of Directive N. 95/46/EC, adopted on May 17th, 2001. The owner of the processing of personal data is the University of Turin. The treatments related to the Site take place at the Legal Head office (via Accademia Albertina 13, 10123 Torino) and at the Operative office (vial Mattioli 25, 10125 Torino) of the MUT, by authorized staff.
The head of such data is the Head of the Department of Life Sciences and Systems Biology. The personal data provided by users are used only to perform the services or provisions requested and are communicated to third parties only if this is necessary for those purposes.
At any time, the user of the Site can exercise his rights over the collected data by sending a request with object "Privacy Instance" via e-mail (info.mut@unito.it), fax or registered letter to the Head of the Department of Life Sciencies and Systems Biology.

6. Liability limitation

The MUT, whose address is viale Mattioli 25, 10125 Torino, is responsible for the Site.
Whilst every effort has been taken to ensure the accuracy of the information on the Site, no warranty is given as to its accuracy or completeness. Under no circumstances, including negligence, the MUT shall to be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages that may result from the use or inability to use the Site, including without limitation use of or reliance on the information available on the Site, interruptions, errors, defects, mistakes, omissions, deletion of files, delays in operation or transmission, non-delivery of information or any other failure of performance.

7. Law and jurisdiction

These terms and conditions of use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Italy. Any disputes arising in relation to the Site shall be subjected to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court of Turin.
If any of these terms or conditions of the use should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable, it shall be deemed deleted, and the remaining terms and conditions of use shall survive and continue to be binding and enforceable.

8. Link to third links

The MUT is not responsible for the content of the sites mentioned in its pages and has no responsibility for any content, termination or modification of the activities of the sites mentioned for informational purposes only, for any dispute directly or indirectly related to the content of the sites and for any damage which may arise.

9. Intellectual property rights of third parties

The Site respects the intellectual property rights of third parties. Thus, all reasonable precautions have been taken to ensure that the reproduction of any information within the Site pages (by way of example and not limited to trademarks, logos, files, script code, text, tables, pictures, videos and any other information available are mentioned) is made with the full consent of the holders of intellectual property rights. You can freely use the platform to search, access and download the materials for personal use only and not for commercial use. The rights of all objects contained within the Site remain the property of the specific holders and are protected by the legislation on copyright and intellectual property. In addition to the rights in copies in digital form, there may be additional rights on the work from which the digital copy comes. To play the contents of the Site it is, therefore, necessary to obtain the consent of the rights holders.

10. Changes of the Site terms and conditions of use

The Site terms and condition of use may changed in any time. Please, review them regularly. If you continue to use the Site after a change has been made, you are deemed to have accepted it.
